1. Why was NHE-PAC founded?

NHE-PAC was founded in 2008 after a legislative "close call" in the Nebraska Unicameral, where the homeschool community successfully defeated LB1141, an attempt to place unacceptable burdens upon families who choose home education. Reflecting upon this experience, it was clear to us that Nebraska needed more senators who understand homeschooling.

2. What do we ask of our candidates?

Nothing. We ask for no benefits or special advantages. We feel that benefits from the state come with too many strings attached, strings that may require the state to dictate certain parts of a homeschool's operation. Simply put, we ask that our candidates ensure the state lets us do what we do best: teaching our kids.

3. How can I help?

We would love to speak to your support group, giving you a chance to see the passion that drives us to volunteer for our candidates. We are supporting races in both Omaha and Lincoln, and volunteer opportunities are available now. Contact us for more information and to join our mailing list.
